This talk focuses on ways to nurture student growth in the classroom through active learning, collaborative discussions, and by guiding students to discover new mathematics on their own. I give concrete examples of classroom activities and discuss how I facilitate them to help foster an enriching classroom community, develop students' mathematical autonomy, and encourage a growth mindset. The talk also mentions promoting student growth outside of the classroom and a plan for sustainably improving courses with student growth in mind.
