Hyperbolic manifolds are central objects of study in geometric topology. The Mostow Rigidity Theorem states when two hyperbolic manifolds are the same. In this talk, I will give a brief introduction to hyperbolic geometry (particularly in dimension 3), state and prove the Mostow Rigidity Theorem, and conclude with some applications of the theorem.
