On Ozaki’s Theorem II

About a dozen years ago Ozaki proved the following beautiful theorem: Given a finite p-group G, there exists a number field K whose p-Hilbert class field tower has Galois group G. It is not hard to find a K whose tower has Galois group having G as a quotient. The delicacy is having the Galois group be exactly G.

I’ll present joint work with Hajir and Maire that simplifies and generalizes Ozaki’s proof.
